Sergey Suchkov was born in the City of Astrakhan, Russia, in a family of dynasty medical doctors. In 1980, graduated from Astrakhan State Med University with MD. In 1985, maintained his PhD at I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy. In 2001, maintained his Doctor Degree at the National Inst of Immunology. From 1985 through 1987, worked as a Post Doc Research Associate, Inst of Med Enzymology, USSR Academy of Medical Sciences. From 1987 through 1989, was a Senior Res Associate, Koltzov Inst of Developmental Biology, USSR Academy of Sciences. From 1989 through 1995, was being a Head of the Lab of Clin Immunology and Immunobiotechnology, Helmholtz Eye Research Institute in Moscow. From 1995 through 2004, was being a Chairman of the Dept for Clin Immunology, Moscow Clinical Research Institute (MONIKI). In 1993-1996, was an Executice Secretary-in-Chief of the Editorial Board, Biomedical Science, an international journal published jointly by the USSR Academy of Sciences and the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK. Seyed Hamed Mahdaviani received his B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering-Petrochemical Industries from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), Tehran, in September 2006 and his M.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering-Thermodynamics & Kinetics from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), Tehran, Iran in April 2010. Title of his B.Sc. thesis was "Study of production process of ethylene oxide: Relevant technologies, catalyst and mathematical modeling of reactor" under supervision of (late) Prof. Morteza Sohrabi. His M.Sc. project was related to "Investigation of various modifiers and promoters in the structure of homogeneous catalyst of 1-butene for the activity enhancement and reduction of heavy and polymeric materials" under supervision of Dr. Matin Parvari and consultation of Dr. Davood Soudbar. He is now senior catalyst researcher of R&D division of Arak Petrochemical Company (ARPC) and has a great experience in industrial homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis, process optimization, chemical reaction engineering and Design of Experimental methods. He has many publications including 21 high quality peer-reviewed papers in scientific journals and international conferences, a book chapter (Springer, Dordrecht) , an Iran patent (commercialized) and several research and technical reports. Seyed Hamed Mahdaviani has received several honors and awards for his outstanding efforts in his research works. In December 2015, he was selected as the first person of superior industrialist and distinguished researcher in the Festival of Research & Technology of Oil Industry in Tehran, Iran. In addition, he could attain level of Researcher with a top score (7th rank in Chemical Engineering in Iran) in 3rd Festival of Appreciation from Iranian Researchers in February 2019, Babolsar, Iran. He has been invited to the several reputed international conferences to give a keynote speech. In regard to his contributions to reviewing papers, he has received certificate of reviewing from Elsevier in recognition of the review made for 'Applied Catalysis A: General' in March 2016. Victor Borovkov works as a full professor of chemistry at South-Central University for Nationalities (China) and a senior research scientist at Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia). He is a member of the editorial boards of several scientific journals, an author of 127 publications including research papers, reviews, and books with the h-index of 27 (WOS and Scopus), 10 patents, and serving as an external peer-reviewer of various international journals and scientific foundations. He participated in different international and industrial collaboration projects and attended numerous international and national conferences as an invited and keynote speaker being a member of several advisory committees. His current research interests include supramolecular chemistry, nanoscience, chirality, sensor devices, chemistry of porphyrins and related macrocycles, functional materials, and asymmetric catalysis.

Roger M. Leblanc received his B. S. in chemistry in 1964 from Université Laval, Canada, and Ph. D. in physical chemistry in1968 from the same university. From 1968 to 1970, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Prof. George Porter, FRS, in Davy Faraday Research Lab, the Royal Institution of Great Britain. He was a professor from 1970 to 1993 at Department of Chemistry and Biology in Université du Québec à Trois Rivières, Canada. During this period, he was Chair from 1971 to 1975 at the same department, and Director from 1981 to 1991 at Photobiophysics Research Center. In 1994, he moved to University of Miami, where he has been a professor at Department of Chemistry since then to present. At University of Miami, he was Chair of Department of Chemistry from 1994 to 2002, and he is appointed as Chair from 2013 to present. He was also one of the three editors of Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces from 1998 to 2013. During his early career as a scientist, his research interest was on the photosynthesis and photoconductivity using surface chemistry and spectroscopy.He has published 505 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. As a professor, he has supervised more than 100 M.S. and Ph.D. students.

His current research interest is to apply 2-dimensional (2-D) surface chemistry combined with spectroscopy and microscopy to investigate the properties of nanomaterials (graphene oxide, carbon dots and quantum dots) and the fibrillation process of amyloidogenic proteins (insulin, amyloid-beta peptide and islet amyloid polypeptide). He is also interested to design and develop biosensors with high sensitivity and selectivity for diseases diagnosis.

Dr. Khatmullin received his Ph.D. in 2013 in Photochemistry at Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio. Prior to receiving his doctorate degree Khatmullin earned his BS and MSc degrees in Organic Chemistry from the National University of Uzbekistan. In 2013 Khatmullin joined Malcolm Forbes research group at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a postdoctoral associate. He worked in the area of physical organic chemistry. In 2015 Khatmullin was hired as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry to work at Middle Georgia State University.

His current research interests include synthesis of organic compounds for renewable energy utilization and design of photoactive molecular switches which was published in various chemical journals.

Dr. Rogatsky serves as the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Chromatography and Separation Techniques . During the last 10 years (from 2005), Dr. Rogatsky has published over 30 scientific papers in per-reviewed journals (mostly as the first author) and has presented over 50 posters and lectures. Overall, he has made more than a hundred scientific presentations and publications. Dr. Rogatsky completed his M.Sc. in physical chemistry at Belarus State University (former USSR) in 1990. He completed his PhD in bioanalytical chemistry (Bar-Ilan University, Israel) in 1998. At the end of 1999, he started his post-doctorate at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and became a faculty member since 2001 and was a mass spectrometry director at the Biomarker Analytical Resource Core. Dr. Guertin has 20 years experience in spinal cord research and 9 years experience in science leadership. He was President and CEO of NeuroSpina Therapeutics between 2005 and 2008 and is currently Chief Scientific Officer of Eurymedon HealthCare. Over the years he has obtained several million dollars in financing from non-profit organizations and foundations to conduct basic research and drug development. He has developed a cutting edge expertise also in hormonal, cardiovascular, metabolic, muscular and bone system regulation and deregulation. He holds a tenure track faculty position as Associate Professor in the Department of Anatomy and Physiology at Universite Laval 2001 and is also the Director and Principal Investigator of the Spinal Cord Injury and Functional Recovery Laboratory 2002 based in Quebec City Laval University Medical Center CHUQ/CHUL. Yuhui (Henry) Zhao completed his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Alberta in 1995. He has been working since in a few analytical laboratories for the past 20 years as a Senior Scientist. His research and development interests cover the areas of Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) - Optical Emission Spectroscopy, ICP-Mass Spectrometry, GC and GC-Mass Spectrometry. Yuhui is currently working as a QA Scientist at Epcor Water Service Inc., Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Jaya Vejayan has completed his PhD from University Malaya, a premier university in Malaysia. In his MSc he was involved in isolating bioactive compounds from the medicinal plant, Ipomea pes caprae, known to be an antitoxin to jellyfish toxins. While in his PhD he used proteomics to study proteins in various snake venoms in Malaysia. Accordingly, he merged both of the knowledge together to derive the 2DE guided purification technique. He has published in a number of publications mainly relevant to the field of toxinology and remained focused in furthering investigations in the use of snake venom for biotechnology purposes.

CAGLAR ANDAC is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Istanbul University. She studied Chemical Engineering, had Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees at Istanbul University, Institute of Health Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Analytical Chemistry on drug analysis in pharmaceutical formulations and biological fluids by spectrophotometric and liquid chromatographic methods. She conducted post-doctoral research at Medical Center of Munich University, Institute of Laboratory Medicine Laboratory of Bio-Separation with a main focus of hyphenation of mass spectrometry with on-line sample processing between the years 2011-2013. She has researches and publications on drug analysis in biological fluids by liquid chromatography mass spectrometry, on-line solid phase extraction coupled liquid chromatography, multidimensional chromatography, spectrophotometry, spectrofluorimetry including validation, degradation and pharmacokinetic studies. She is also serving as reviewer for several reputed journals like Journal of Mass Spectrometry, Journal of Chromatography B, Luminescence, Journal of Fluorescence, Journal of AOAC International, Analytical Methods, Analytical Letters and some others.

Alexander A. Kamnev, DSc in physical chemistry, is a Leading Scientist at the Institute of Biochemistry and Physiology of Plants and Microorganisms, Russian Academy of Sciences (Saratov, Russia).Professor Kamnev has published over 120 papers in peer-refereed international journals, has been regularly involved as an organiser of, and as an invited/plenary lecturer at a number of international conferences and in refereeing manuscripts for many scientific journals published by Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, RSC, ACS, etc. He is a member of Editorial Boards of several specialised scientific journals including Spectrochimica Acta Part A (“Elsevier”) and Current Enzyme Inhibition (“Bentham Science Publishers”).

“Prof. Chenzhong Li, is the director of the nanobioengineering/biosensor laboratory, in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Florida International University (FIU,Miami). Dr. Li joined in FIU in 2006 and he is a faculty professor (with tenure) in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and an affiliated faculty in the Department of Immunology at the College of Medicine. Dr. Li is an expert in bioelectronics, specifically in the development of biomedical sensors such as wearable/portable bioelectronics for point of care testing.

Dr. Li’s research interests include Point Care of Testings, wireless diagnostics, neuron/cancer biomarker and nanotoxicity measurements and electron transfer study of various biomolecules.

Dan Fu is Assistant professor of Chemistry at the University of Washington. He received his bachelor's degree from Peking University in China (2003). In 2009, he completed his PhD study at Princeton University under the supervision of Professor Warren Warren, working on the development of novel label-free multiphoton absorption microscopy methods. After that, he worked as a postdoctoral associate at the G.R.Harrison Spectroscopy Lab led by the late professor Michael Feld at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he investigated quantitative phase microscopy and its applications to live cell imaging. In 2010, he moved to Harvard University to work with Professor Sunney Xie as a postdoctoral fellow, where he developed multiplex stimulated Raman scattering microscopy and hyperspectral stimulated Raman scattering microscopy. He joined the faculty of the University of Washington in the summer of 2015.

Currently his main research interests are the development of quantitative label-free optical microscopy and their biomedical applications such as cancer diagnosis and staging, single cell metabolism, and drug-cell interaction.

Dr. Halasz is a Principal Chemist at the Analytica Department of the Research & Development Center of PQ Corporation. He obtained Magna Cum Laude doctorate degree from the Lajos Kossuth University (today Debrecen University) and also a Ph. D degree from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Hungary (HAS). His initial twelve years of research in the Hungarian Hydrocarbon Institute focused on development and scale-up of efficient processes for pharmaceutical, fine chemical and petrochemical industries as well as fundamental studies in acid-base catalysis. Later he joined the Central Chemistry Institute of HAS to perform research mainly in zeolite catalysis and the synthesis of high temperature superconducting ceramics. Partly overlapping with these, he also worked on the catalytic fume abatement of automobile exhausts and stack gases at various US universities. In the past 17 years he has studied various properties of silica and derivatives at PQ. He is member of various scientific organizations and has served as chair and president in some. Dr. Halasz edited a book, authored circa 125 publications in the form of book chapters, patents and scientific papers and held more than 80 conference presentations.

His current research focuses on elucidating the molecular structure of various silica derivatives including aqueous alkaline silicate solutions, silica gels and zeolites using mostly vibrational and electronic spectroscopic techniques. Moreover he is interested in finding relationship between some macroscopic properties of these materials, like hydrophobicity, reactivity, catalytic activity and selectivity, porosity, sorption capacity, etc., and their fine molecular constitution with the help of computer simulation of their structures, molecular spectra and experimental data.

He started his teaching career at the University of Malaya in 1978 after completing his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Duke University, Durham, North Carolina and was promoted to Professor in 2003. He has supervised eight PhD and six MSc students and many thesis projects on environmental analysis of organic chemical pollutants in Malaysian waterways and pesticides in fruits and vegetables by using techniques such as GC, GC-MS, HPLC and LC-MS. He is currently supervising five PhD and one MSc student for their theses. In addition to this, he has supervised a post-doctoral researcher from Turkey on environmental analytical chemistry sponsored by the Malaysia/Turkey Cultural Exchange Programme. His current research interests focus on the environmental pollution problems in Malaysian waterways as a result of industrialisation and increasing agricultural production in this country. He is also currently doing studies on developing microextraction techniques for analysis of pesticide residues in food matrices such fruits and vegetables. He has presented and published many papers on the monitoring of priority environmental organic pollutants at various international and local symposiums and conferences as a result of his research findings. He has also presented papers on the applications and theory of gas chromatography and high performance liquid chromatography at regional workshops organized by the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry. Currently he is also investigating the use of high performance analytical instruments such as GC-MS and LC-MS for the determination of trace organics – pesticide residues and pollutants - in food. He was also the team leader for the Consultancy project for Petronas Advanced Gas Chromatography Course conducted in September 2005. He has also served as the external examiner for PhD and Masters’ theses from UKM, UPM , UTM, UiTM and USM.

Makhapa Makhafola is currently the General Manager: Research & Development at Mintek. He worked as Lecturer in Analytical Chemistry at Technikon Northern Gauteng (now called Tshwane University of Technology) and University of Venda. In 2004 he was appointed Director: Quality Assurance at Border Technikon (now called Walter Sisulu University). He was the Director: Quality Assurance at the University of Venda until he joined University of Kwa-Zulu Natal as the Director Quality Promotion & Assurance in July 2010, part of his responsibility was to lead the World University Rankings project. He served as member of Umalusi Council and also as Chairperson of Lovedale FET College Audit Committee. He is currently the Chairperson of DST/MINTEK Nanotechnology Innovation Centre Steering Committee. He served as a member of the Higher Education Quality Assurance Manager’s Forum and also chaired and facilitated various workshops on quality assurance in higher education. He is also serving as an academic committee member of QS World Ranking Universities. He did the post-doctoral training in Analytical Chemistry at Indiana University. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ismail Murat Palabiyik graduated from Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ankara and obtained PhD from Department of Analytical Chemistry, Facult of Pharmacy, University of Ankara. Currently, he is working in same department. His current researches are synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles, DNA – drug interactions, investigating of anticancer effects of natural plant compounds, developing analytical techniques for drug analysis from dosage forms and biological fluids using with capillary electrophoresis, high performance liquid chromatography, spectrofluorimetry and UV spectrophotometry. Beside this, for investigating effects of experimental factors on analysis in HPLC and CE methods, he utilized Response Surface Methodology (RSM). Also, he is specialized in chemometry and worked one year in department of pharmacology and studied diabetes treatment. He is a Visiting Scholar, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Faculty of Pharmacy, Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Drug Analysis and worked with Professor Jos Hoogmartens group in liquid chromatographic column characterization. During his MSc and PhD period, he took a fellowship from TÜBİTAK – BİDEB, The Scientific Research and Technological Council of Turkey. His PhD thesis was awarded by University of Ankara. Joon Myong Song received his PhD in 1997 at Kyushu University, in Japan. He worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 1998 to 2004 at Iowa State University, Brookhaven National Laboratory, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory in United States. At present, he is a Professor and Head of Department of Pharmacy at College of Pharmacy School, Seoul National University in South Korea. His research area includes multifunctional nanoparticle for diagnosis and therapy and high-content cell-based drug screening and diagnosis using hyper-multicolor cellular imaging. Eduard Rogatsky completed his M.Sc in physical chemistry from Belarus State University, PhD in Bioanalytical chemistry from Bar-Ilan University (Israel) in 1999, and postdoctoral studies at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NY. He joined the faculty there in 2001, and is currently a Senior Associate Scientist and Director of Mass Spectrometry in the Biomarker Analytical Resource Core Laboratory, Einstein-Montefiore Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, Bronx, NY, USA.

Dr. Jacek Namiesnik is the Dean of Chemical Faculty and the Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Gdansk University of Technology, Poland. He is the Chairman of the committee of analytical chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) and also the member of the State Commission for evaluation of scientific degrees and titles.

His research interests include new techniques of extraction of analytes from different types of samples and new procedures of determination of wide range of analytes from samples characterized by complex composition of the matrix.

Professor Alexander A. Kamnev is a Leading Scientist at the Institute of Biochemistry and Physiology of Plants and Microorganisms, Russian Academy of Sciences (Saratov, Russia). He graduated from Saratov State University with a MSc degree in chemistry (1980); received his Cand. Sci. (PhD equivalent; 1992) and DSc (2002) in physical chemistry from the same University. His scientific background included physical chemistry and electrochemistry of transition metal hydroxides. Since mid-90s, his research has been focused on the application of spectroscopic techniques in studying biomolecules, biocomplexes, supramolecular structures, microbial cells; physicochemical aspects of plant-microbe interactions, microbial metabolic responses to stresses and external agents; spectroscopic detection of biospecific interactions using biofunctionalized noble-metal plasmonic nanoparticles; bioanalytical applications of vibrational (FTIR, Raman) and Mössbauer (nuclear gamma-resonance) spectroscopies. Professor Kamnev has been the leader or coordinator of a number of international research projects supported by various grants. He is the main author of over a hundred papers in peer-refereed international journals and several invited review chapters in monographs. Professor Kamnev has been an invited/plenary lecturer and a member of Organizing Committees or Advisory Boards of a number of large international scientific meetings. He has been regularly involved in refereeing international research proposals and manuscripts for many high-rank scientific journals published by Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, American Chemical Society, etc., and is an Editorial/Advisory Board member of several international scientific journals.

Dr. Wayne Grant Carter received his Honours degree in Biochemistry with Nutrition from the University of Southampton. He then completed a PhD at the University of Southampton studying the molecular signalling cascade elicited by insulin. And Postdoctoral studies at the Babraham Institute Cambridge; Imperial College London; University of California at Irvine; and University of Oxford. Dr. Carter joined the staff at the University of Nottingham where he is currently a Principal Investigator and Lecturer for a new course in Healthcare Sciences founded at the University of Nottingham site within the Royal Derby Hospital Derby. He is currently an Editorial Board member for the World Journal of Biological Chemistry as well as Executive Editor for the Journal of Chromatography Separation Techniques.

His research interest include Purified peptide targets by reverse-phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC), and assayed signalling kinases utilising radiolabelled phosphorus to determine phosphorylation sites by both radiosequencing and phosphopeptide mapping. Use of proteomic techniques coupled to novel imaging of radiolabels to detect and purify proteins that are modified post-translationally.

Alberto Chisvert (BSc, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Valencia, 1999; PhD, Dpt. of Analytical Chemistry, University of Valencia, 2003). He was Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Food Sciences of the University of Valencia (2005), Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Analytical Chemistry of University of Alicante (2006-2008), and Lecturer in Dept. of Analytical Chemistry of University of Valencia (2008-2011). Nowadays, he is Associate Professor in this last department since 2011. At present, he has published near 50 scientific papers, and 12 chapters in scientific books. Moreover, he has acted as co-editor of the book Analysis of Cosmetic Products (Elsevier, 2007), and he is editorial board member of Advances in Analytical Chemistry, American Journal of Analytical Chemistry, Chromatography Research International, International Journal of Analytical Chemistry and Journal of Trace Analysis in Food and Drugs. Moreover, he is external reviewer of more than 25 journals in the Analytical Chemistry area, including chromatography. Paul Haddad is a UTAS Distinguished Professor. He has a DSc from the University of NSW and is a Fellow of both the Australian Academy of Science and the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering. He is Director of the Australian Centre for Research on Separation Science (ACROSS) and Director of the Pfizer Analytical Research Centre (PARC). He was an ARC Federation Fellow from 2006-2011. He is editor of the international journal Journal of Chromatography A, contributing editor for the journal Trends in Analytical Chemistry and is a member of the editorial boards of the following international analytical and chromatographic journals: Analytica Chimica Acta, Electrophoresis, Chromatographia, International Journal of Environmental Analytical Chemistry, Analytical Letters, Trends in Chromatography, Current Analytical Chemistry.

His research is in the field of separation science and covers ion chromatography, capillary zone electrophoresis, capillary electrochromatography, and high-performance liquid chromatography, used especially for the separation of inorganic ions, metal complexes and low molecular weight organic species.

Doo Soo Chung has completed his PhD from Harvard University and postdoctoral studies from MIT and Iowa State University. He has published more than 100 papers in reputed journals.

He has been working on a variety of topics ranging from realization of molecule optics which controls the motion of molecules with light and Bioanalytical techniques such as Capillary Electrophoresis

Albert van den Berg received his MSc in applied physics in 1983, and his PhD in 1988 both at the University of Twente, the Netherlands. From 1988-1993 he worked in Neuchatel, Switzerland, at the CSEM and the University (IMT) on miniaturized chemical sensors. From 1993 until 1999 he was research director Micro Total Analysis Systems (μTAS) at MESA, University of Twente. In 1998 he was appointed as part-time professor “Biochemical Analysis Systems”, and later in 2000 as full professor on Miniaturized Systems for (Bio)Chemical Analysis in the faculty of Electrical Engineering. He received several honors and awards such as Simon Stevin (2002), ERC Advanced (2008) and ERC Proof of Concept (2011, 2013) grants, Spinoza prize (2009), Honorary University Professorship (Twente, 2010), and Distinguished Professor at SCNU (Guangzhou, 2012). He has co-authored over 250 papers (H=44) and over 10 patents, and has been and is involved in 6 spin-off companies. He is member of the Dutch National Health Council and became a board member of the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences (KNAW) in 2011.

His current research interests focus on microanalysis systems and nanosensors, nanofluidics and single cells, tissues and organs on chips, especially with applications in personalized health care, drug development and development of sustainable (nano)technologies.

Aly MOUSSA has obtained his BVSc from Cairo University, Egypt; Dr. Vet. Med. From Justus Liebig university, Germany and PhD from Claude Bernard University, France. He worked 4 years at IFFA-Mérieux Laboratory; Lyon- France, for 20 years was the chief of virology service at the French Bovine Pathology laboratory. Then for 8 years he was concerned at the national agency for sanitary security of aliments with research on the pathogenic prion proteins. He has published many papers in the fields of Virology and Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathy’s.

His research interests include Prion Proteins, Virology, Pathology.

Prof. Guibin Jiang received his Ph.D. from the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1991. He is currently vice director of the institute and director of the State Key Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology. From January 2006, he was formally appointed the Associate Editor of Environmental Science and Technology (ES&T). He is also on the editorial board of Anal. Chim. Acta, Chemosphere and Int.J.Environ.Anal.Chem. Prof. Guibin Jiang has published about 300 papers in peer reviewed journals, among which 120 papers were published in journals with IF> 3. His publications have been cited more than 3000 times. He has given more than 200 keynote presentations in conferences and invitational lectures in renowned institutes and universities.

His research is mainly focused on analytical chemistry and environmental chemistry. His methodical and comprehensive research resulted in significant achievements on analytical development and environmental characterization of persistent organic pollutants (POPs), and the speciation of organometallic compounds.

King-Chuen Lin received his Ph.D. from Department of Chemistry, Michigan State Univ. in 1982. After postdoctoral career in Cornell University, he joined Department of Chemistry, National Taiwan Univ., Taiwan. He has been awarded as Distinguished Research Fellow of National Science Council, from 1996 to 2002. He is a Distinguished Professor of National Taiwan Univ. from 2005. He received an academic achievement from the Chemical Society located in Taipei in 2009. He has published more than 140 scientific papers in prestigious international refereed journals in the area of physical chemistry, chemical physics and analytical chemistry.

Professor Janegitz received the MS degree in Analytical Chemistry at the Federal University of São Carlos, São Carlos, SP, Brazil, in 2009, In 2012 received the PhD in Analytical Chemistry degree in the same University. He was Post doctorate researcher at University of São Paulo, Brazil. Academic visiting at University of Warwick in 2013. Currently, he is working as professor at Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil.

Alshahateet has completed his PhD at the age of 33 years from the University of New South Wales (Australia) and postdoctoral studies from Institute of Chemical and Engineering Sciences (Singapore).
